Escape school! I feel the same way Cynthia! Oh Cynthia, just hold the book in your hand, it ain’t worth falling off a desk for. Oh le gasp, Cynthia’s grades are slipping. This woman has got to get her priorities straight, like grades matter in the bigger picture. Cynthia is going to be a ninja healer, she doesn’t need good grades at school, she needs good grades at Family HQ.

Assignment completion! I want to learn what Cynthia has learned! I feel like I’m in my favourite class

Is knocking not required before entry into Father’s room? Cool.

May I ask what a ‘sheeple’ is?

it’s funny you should put it that way, that people are like sheep. That’s essentially what religion teaches us. We’re like sheep and we need guidance and much like sheep, we often wander off and get ourselves in trouble when we lose track of who our real sheppard is and go after the wolves dressed as sheep, but you could also say that The Family is a whole flock of sheep, because the wolf never attacks the herd, it picks off the weak-minded that has wandered away from the flock. . . oh the farming tangent.

I feel like Rick wants to off her ‘teacher’ for discussing overthrowing of government. Their relationship makes me sad

they’re not being honest with each other and it’s making their relationship distant and hollow. Even the simplest conversation about definition of words turns into suspicion and quick thinking and lies. Rick, get your act together!! This man isn’t going to win any Father of the Year awards *coughgivestheawardtoAidencough*

Ah Lance, climbing into a girl’s bedroom window are we? In some alternate dimension somewhere where all fictional characters in the world exist, Lance and Jay are hanging out and discussing their bad habits i.e. climbing in and out of girl’s rooms. Bad bad-boys... I kid, I love Lance. He needs to kiss Cynthia today. I am waiting with pompoms

I’ve lost the plot of this feedback session. Oh Lance, I think Cynthia should DEFINITELY be involved in her Dad’s kidnapping. It’ll work perfectly. She’ll be like: dad let’s go out to dinner and he’ll be like: aww, my little girl wants to spend time with me and then on the way a van will pull up and kidnap him and then she’ll be able to interrogate him too: are you really my father?! Did Mom die a natural death or was it orchestrated by the Force? What is my favourite colour?!! – it would be epic. Yep. Aaron’s involved! I don’t know why I’m pleased about this, but I think that’ll be fun somehow. Aaron + Lance = awesome team.

Lance, if you wanna destroy the base, what you do is that you get Tick to put a few of his specially designed tick-tocks on and around it and boom. Problem solved. OH MY GOD, just kiss already. That’ll be just as effective at making each other blush than smiling sweetly, but the kissing you might enjoy. I’m so close to throwing my pompoms at you people: ADMIT YOUR FEELINGS! DOOO ITTT!

I forgot he got shot too, he was so chilled, I almost convinced myself that the Nero-confrontation-shooting-death thing was just a hallucination of mine. Shoulda known better, my imagination isn’t that good. Poor Lance, he’s dying, isn’t he? This makes me sad.

Okay, I’m glad I read this chapter. It’s got build up towards the mission, Lance-Cynthia relationship, Rick being abducted and essentially what the state of the world is and what the Family is fighting against. Ignoring my childishness whilst feedbacking, this was a terrific chapter and I can’t wait to read about Rick being interrogated by Lance and Aaron. I think it’ll be interesting, I wonder how they’ll approach the interrogation thing. Who will be good cop and who will be bad cop? Or will they both be bad cop? This’ll be good

Haha. Yes, sheeple. That's actually a word my history teacher (whom I based Father from) came up with. I loved just how suiting that phrase was and how it could relate to anyone following a blind leader, that I just had to use it in my novel.

Aiden is definitely a better dad than Rick by a long shot.

Ha, we should so make some sort of collaboration piece with Lance and Jay one day. They should so meet at some club where Jay and his band decide to play, while Lance and Aaron are there to take down some sort of gang leader running the place. That would be amusing
